Fat Burning Proteins
The key to becoming leaner, more muscular and losing belly fat is adequate protein consumption. We all know that
avoiding things like excessive fats, especially trans fat, and empty processed carbohydrate rich foods will
contribute to excess weight, but how many of us are aware of protein’s role in having a more fit body?
Some of protein’s many roles in our body are creating new hair, muscle, skin and tissues. Protein composes about
15-20% of our body’s weight, only water is a greater part of our mass.
Although the body can store some nutrients for later use, protein is not one of them. We need to consume protein
rich foods throughout the day including lean meats, eggs, nuts, low fat cheeses and whey protein powder.
Because protein has a high thermic effect, the amount of energy required to break down and use protein in the
body, consumption of protein actually takes enough energy to promote weight loss.
Oddly enough, muscle, even at rest, helps to burn belly fat. So the more muscle you have the faster the belly
fat melts away. Protein intake helps to rebuild muscles after exercise. A good rule is to consume at least one gram
of protein per pound of body weight. This will effectively help you lose that belly fat.
High carbohydrate diets cause swings in insulin levels which can cause the mood swings and tiredness associated
with low blood sugar. When levels are high fat storage is increased leading to more belly fat production.
The best meal combines both carbohydrates and protein to achieve a balance in your body, promoting health and
belly fat loss.
So, to increase your belly fat loss, follow the above rules, adjusting them for your own life style and body
needs and watch that belly fat go away.
